Join me at Cockpit Arts, Holborn for a day of fun making a Two-colour Crochet Wire Cuff. This class progresses from foundation chain to working crochet stitches into the previous row
We will cover the following tasks on the day:
• how to cast-on using two colours at once
• how to turn the work around and add Turning Chain
• how to make new stitches including, Double Crochet, Treble and Half-Trebles
• how to work patterns of stitches into the previous row
• how to work new stitches into a Stitch Space
• how to finish off your piece and attach a vintage button clasp
Choose from a large selection of pretty coloured wire to personalise your design.
This class will equip you with all you need to know to continue on your journey of wire crochet jewellery design.
What experience do I need?
This class requires patience and manual dexterity - also experience of crocheting with wire. If you have never crocheted with wire before I recommend starting with my Beginners Crochet Class.
What is included?
All your materials are included in your fee, including crochet hook, two reels of coloured wire, your choice of vintage button or bead for fastening and a step-by-step project book to keep. Take home whatever you have left to carry on making at home.
With small class sizes individual instruction is possible, so no-one is left struggling on their own. Information is also given on materials, suppliers and suggested reading.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you wear glasses for close-up work you will need to bring them. All tools will be provided. Extra Wire and Beads are available to buy on the day to take home.
What time does the class start and finish?
Classes run from 10.30-4.30pm. We break for lunch at 1pm for an hour - you are welcome to bring your own lunch or pop out to the nearby shops and cafés.
Cockpit Arts is wheelchair accessible.
